How To Make Someone Fall In LOVE With YOU In 90 Minutes Or Less

From the Author of
-How To Make People LIKE  YOU In 90 Seconds Or Less-NICHOLAS BOOTHMAN

A Fabulous First Impression
What makes a star a star? I don’t just mean stars of stage or screen, but those people you see at a party or down at the garden center who attract and hold your attention longer than the average person—the ones you look at and somehow you want to be with them. What is it that attracts you to them? Is it the way they dress, the way they stand and move, or something ineffable they give off that creates this impression?
We've all heard the phrase “You never get a second chance to make a first impression,” and it’s true. People make judgments about you the moment they see you—and just because
you haven’t seen them doesn't mean they haven’t noticed you. You don’t have to be a star, but it won’t hurt to have a little bit of star quality to help ensure that your first impression is working for you. That means you need to leave your house feeling good about yourself and the way you’re dressed and to stay that way while you’re in public. Because what people respond to when they see you  for the first time, before you even open your mouth, are your attitude and your clothes.

A First Impression Begins with Attitude
Alicia, Dennis, and Naomi arrive at the same time to a gala fund-raiser at Boston’s Copley Plaza Hotel. The organizers are expecting at least two dozen celebrities,500 other guests, and the usual bevy of local media.
As the three enter the ballroom, their body language speaks volumes—three different volumes. Alicia is obviously there to enjoy herself. She’s smiling, looking around, and walking tall. She appears natural and happy—she looks like fun. She scans the crowd, spots a friend, and makes her way purpose-fully toward her. Dennis, on the other hand, looks around skeptically, like he’d rather be anywhere else but here. He has his hands in his pockets, and if you had to guess what he’s thinking, it would probably be, “What a load of bozos. How long before I can escape?” Naomi enters with a forced smile on her face but stops a few steps into the room. Her shoulders droop as she begins to psych herself out, and she looks like she’s scanning for the closest corner to hide in.
Notice I kept using the word looks. That’s what first impressions are based on: looks. And notice how their attitudes are apparent, too, when they enter the room. Dozens of people have seen them already, but only one, Alicia, has turned heads and made a good impression.

You can spot someone’s attitude from half a block away.

You can spot someone’s attitude from half a block away, from the middle of a subway train, from the other side of a shop, or from the moment someone steps in the room. In my days as a fashion photographer we’d schedule one Friday a month for “go sees.” This was when my staff and I, and sometimes my clients, would see 30 or 40 new models, male and female. Each one would get about five minutes to say a few words and show us their portfolio. In truth, though, we never needed five minutes. Five seconds was more like it.The moment a new face stepped into the room we knew whether or not the person had what it takes. When we’d discuss the session among ourselves afterwards we didn’t talk as much about individual features as we did about mood, or attitude.“Jane was peppy.” “Mark looked kind of dramatic.” “Dana looked dangerous.” In that business—the business of first impressions—you can be the most gorgeous creature in theworld, but if you don’t have the right attitude, you don’thave what it takes. And we could spot attitude in a flash—everybody can, and everybody does. Attitude is such a influential part of a first impression that my assistant made up a sign and hung it outside the studio door on go see days. It read, “When you go through this door, it’s your attitude more than anything else that’ll make you or break you.”

 “Hi” and “Bye” Attitudes
There are two distinct classes of attitude—those that attract and those that repel. When you see someone who’s happy, confident, and relaxed you’re likely to be attracted to him or her. These are appealing “Hi!” attitudes. The opposite is true for someone who seems arrogant, gloomy, tense, angry, or dejected. No-one wants to hang out with gloomy or irritated people because sooner or later they sap all your energy. They have “Bye” attitudes. The key to opening yourself up socially is to leave your gloomy side alone and consciously choose to look on the bright side—the side that gives you unlimited access to opportunity. The good thing about attitude is you can adjust it whenever you want and buzz yourself up to the top of your game. All it takes is practice. Think about a time when you felt great. Perhaps it was when you accomplished something important to you—maybe you won a race or gave a great speech or scored a goal. Or it may simply have been a time when you were enjoying the company of friends or family,or the late afternoon light of a summer day, or when you justfelt truly yourself. Whatever it was, relive it in your mind in as much detail as possible, and once it’s so clear that you could almost reach out and touch it, connect it in your mind with a trigger word so you can summon that feeling again at will. Plenty of actors, TV personalities, and fashion models have trigger words or phrases to get them in the mood. Some will say “showtime” just as they head out into the spot light and their whole being changes. They are “on”—they almost literally switch on a bright, energetic attitude. You can do the same. On page 108 in this chapter there’s an exercise that will teach you to do this simply and easily.

Attitudes Are Contagious
Have you ever noticed when you’re in a group, if someone tells a joke and one person starts genuinely laughing, the others start laughing too, even if the joke’s not all that funny? The same happens with tension and sadness. That’s because, as a species, we’re hard wired to relate to the feelings and emotions that other people give off. This helps us adapt and fit into our environment. It works like this: If I smile at you, you’ll feel inclined to reciprocate and smile back. In much the same way, if I look at you dismissively and then avert my eyes, you’ll probably respond in kind. If I sigh, you feel it. If you laugh, I feel it.Attitudes are contagious. They are, in fact, big bundles of feelings projected through body language, tone of voice, and the words you choose. When you’re angry, you look angry, you sound angry, you use angry words—and it makes other people feel uncomfortable.
Conversely, when you’re playful, you look playful, you sound playful, you use playful words—and it makes other people feel playful. Ditto for enthusiastic, or sexy, or any other mood. This is the bad news and the good news all rolled into one. The bad part is that someone’s miserable attitude can make everyone around them feel equally miserable. But, by the same token, a joyful attitude can make others feel joyful. You can make the most of this infectiousness, adjusting your attitude to drive others’ behavior. Be joyful and your upbeat mood will rub off on others.

How to Slip into an Attitude
Without the right attitude, you’re not going to get veryfar in attracting your matched opposite, or any one else for that matter. To achieve the results you want, youmust think, walk, talk, and act in such a way that the best and

most attractive parts of your personality come out. Is your best nature funny and warm, sexy and confident, relaxed and reassuring? Make sure people know it. But remember, yourbody and mind are part of the same system and you can’t hope to control one without the other. Sure, you can tell your face to smile, but it won’t come off as genuine unless you first adopt the right attitude to put you in the mood.

So how do you go about adopting a “Hi!” attitude? It’snot like a piece of clothing that you can just slip on and off at will, right? Actually, it is! In a moment I’ll show you howto do it, but first I want you to answer these five questions.
  1. Where is the milk in your refrigerator?
  2. Is your favorite piece of music fast or slow paced?
  3. What does sand feel like?
  4. Does hot bread smell different from warm bread?
  5. Do you prefer the taste of lemon or lime?
To answer these questions, you had to play back information that had been collected by your senses in the past and stored away. To locate the milk in your fridge, you made a mental picture and saw it there. To determine the pace of your music, you played part of it in your mind. You ran sand through your fingers, took imaginary sniffs of the bread, and had a quick mental taste of the lemon and lime. Psychologists believe that our subconscious mind doesn't the difference between something real and something vividly imagined—for example, imagine biting into a lime and you’ll actually salivate. During the following exercise I’m going to ask you to make a picture in your mind. Don’t expect to see Technicolor billboards right away. At first, your pictures will be as good as the one you made to locate the milk in your fridge.

Getting in the Mood
Choose one of the following attitudes: warm, playful, confident, or curious.
Say you chose confident. Now close your eyes and think of a specific moment in time when you felt the most confident you ever have—totally in control and knowing exactly what to do. Relive what you saw, heard, felt, and maybe even smelled and tasted at that moment, in as much detail as you can.
First, watch the scene unfold as if it were a movie. Look around and see what’s going on in detail. Listen to all the different sounds. When you have the sights and sounds in focus, step into the picture. Instead of watching the movie, you’re now in it. Notice the foreground, the middle ground, and the background. Make the colors bright and sharp and colorful. Bring up the sounds in detail—notice which direction they come from. Are they harsh or sweet? If there are smells and tastes, bring them in too, to make the most complete picture possible. Make it as real as you can.Now at tune yourself to the external physical sensations—the air temperature, the feel of your clothing, your feet, your glasses, your belt. Explore and relive whatever external sensations you can.
Now bring your attention to your internal feelings.Focus on your confidence. Notice where you feel it—inyour tummy? Your shoulders? Your chest? Feel your pos-ture. Are you standing tall? Is your head held high?
Take ownership of these feelings and pump them up.Make them bigger, stronger, brighter, and more intense—and then double them. Then double them again.
When you’re bursting with the image, yell the word“Great!” in your mind three times. “Great, great, great!”Then again, “Great, great, great!” And a third time,“Great, great, great!”When you are ready, open your eyes and savor thefeeling. The exercise you have just done is a powerfulone—but it’s also very simple. You just relived, in detail,a time when you felt good, and now, when you say“Great!” three times to yourself, you can bring itwhooshing back into the front of your mind anytime youlike. Before you close your eyes and do the exerciseagain, make sure you memorize the four simple stages:
  1. Play the movie.
  2. Step in to see, hear, and feel it.
  3. Pump up the sensations.
  4. Yell “Great!” three times in your mind.

Standing Tall, Feeling Terrific
Research shows that the single most important attributewe all subconsciously seek in a potential mate is good health. This goes back to our earliest ancestors, and the desireto be fruitful and multiply: Females wanted clever hunters and strong protectors; males wanted mates able to bear healthy children. One way we determine health is by posture: Someone who’s standing tall looks healthy and strong, ready to face the world. Your posture signals volumes about your physical and emotional health and vitality, and it does so in a flash.Stand tall and you’ll feel emotionally tall. Send the crown of your head to the sky, move your shoulder blades down and slightly back, and you’ll feel on top of your game. Just as thoughts and emotions influence each other, so do body and mind. If you feel sad, chances are you’ll be sitting slumped, with your head bowed and mouth turned down. If you feel happy, you’ll be walking tall, head up and smiling. But the reverse is also true: Physical attitudes influence moods! You can’t feel happy while you sit in that slump with your mouth curled downwards (try it, it’s true!) and you can’t feel sad while you leap in the air with a big grin on your face. Your body just won’t allow it. When you adjust your posture to upright and proud, your body will generate feelings of self-confidence, courage, and even sex-iness. Let good posture enhance your desirability.

If you want to move on to some advanced poise and pos-ture work, take dance lessons. Dancing benefits you in myriadways. You gain strength, grace, and rhythm; it works wondersfor your posture and gets you in touch with your body; and it helps boost your confidence, on the dance floor and off.
Here’s Looking at You
So, you've got a great attitude, you’re standing tall, you’re just about ready now to go out and find your soul mate, right? There’s only one thing we have to check beforeyou head out the door: Just what is that you’re wearing?

Exercise: Poise, Pace, and Posture
Poise simply means to move with quiet confidence andgrace. It is self-assuredness, not arrogance, and it’s allabout posture and pace. It’s sexy and attractive, it turnsheads and helps you control a room, and it all beginswith excellent posture. Take a few minutes to go throughthis activity and then practice it regularly. Before youknow it, poise will be a part of who you are.It may seem corny, but modeling schools have an exercise that they've used for years, making both male and female students do it from day one. It’s simple, andit works.
  1. Put a dictionary on your head.
  2. Walk around the room. It should take you about ten minutes to get used to the position and the balance of it.
  3. Go in and out of doors, opening and closing them behind you.
  4. With the book still balanced on your head, go up and down stairs.
  5. Sit down, count to five, and stand up. Go to another chair and repeat.
  6. During each stage, pause, close your eyes, and focus on your posture—on what it feels like, on how you’re holding your shoulders, your hips, your feet. Notice how calm your pace is and how graceful your overall carriage.
  7. This is where you graduate: Drink a cup of tea or coffee with the dictionary still on your head, and promise yourself that from this moment on, whenever you see, drink, or think about tea or coffee, you’ll imagine that big book of words is on your head and adjust your posture and pace accordingly.Setting the dictionary aside, practice carrying yourself with grace and poise all the time—while you’re walking the dog, while you’re stuck in traffic, while you’re wait-ing in line or watching TV.
If the first thing someone notices about you is your attitude, the second is your clothes. In fact, the impact is made so quickly it’s as if they see both things at the same time, and then form their first impressions about you. Your clothing speaks volumes. It tells people what kind of personyou see yourself as. It also can reveal a lot about your socioeconomic status, whether you’re conventional or flamboyant, sexy or modest, trendy or traditional. Take a good hardlook at your wardrobe and see if it makes the statement you want. Many of us are creatures of habit and we wear whatwe’ve always worn. But is the look you adopted 15 years ago (or more) still appropriate for you now?

Wearing attractive clothes with confidence makes you feel different about yourself and makes other people respond differently to you.

Coco Chanel once said, “Dress poorly, and people will notice your clothes; dress well, and people will notice you.”Ask yourself: What do I want my clothing to communicate to others? Is there an aspect of my personality that I want to emphasize? Does my current wardrobe do the job? Take into account your physical characteristics and make sure the image you want to create works with them.Get into the habit of looking your best when you go out. I’m not talking about always being perfectly coiffed and made up or wearing your fanciest duds. Rather, I mean you should dress so you feelattractive—so that if youran into an old friend you hadn't seen for years, you’d feel that you looked fine. We’re making first impressions all the time, and you never know whom you might meet.Wearing attractive clothes with confidence makes you feel different about yourself and makes other people respond differently to you. The way we dress influences our behavior and attitude, and that in turn influences other people. The bottom line with clothes, as with other forms of packaging, is the better you dress, the more seriously people will treat you. That said, make sure that you’re comfortable in your clothes, and that they convey the real you at your best. If you adopt a look for the sake of fashion but it makes you feel uncomfortable, keep experimenting until you get to a look that feels right. Remember, people will sense your discomfort just as clearly as they see your clothes.
Also bear in mind that dressing well depends on the context of the situation and who it is you want to attract. If you’re looking to impress the attractive woman with the designer sun glasses in the new Mercedes, chances are you’re not going to do it in cutoff  jeans and hiking boots. On theother hand, if you’ve fallen for a wilderness guide, then that ensemble might be just the ticket.

Seven Keys to Dressing Well
Clothes are far too personal an issue for me to give specificadvice that would work for everyone. Instead, here are seven key points, based on what I learned in my years in thefashion industry, that will help make your clothes work for you.None of this is new: It’s tried and true, and it works. Above all, remember the golden rule: Keep it clean and simple.

1. Wear Clothes That Fit
Many people wear clothes that don’t fit correctly—they’re alittle too big, a little too small, not the right shape, a bit too short, a tad too long. But fit makes all the difference. The goal

is for your clothes to skim your body and hang well. Remember, size doesn't matter; fit matters. If you’re not sure whether your clothes fit correctly, ask friends. If you’re shopping, ask the sales help. A well fitting, tailored jacket is the ultimate power garment for every wardrobe. Be honest with yourself. If you need help, ask a good tailor or dressmaker.

2. Accessories Make a Big Difference
The right accessory can make you look better dressed than you are. If you can’t afford the most expensive and best qual-ity when it comes to your wardrobe, splurge on accessories.
Buy the very best belt, shoes, purse, or scarf that you canafford. And remember, don’t overdo it. Let one or two carefully chosen accessories make your statement. You want to avoid superficial distractions. The same goes for your jewelry—for men, a tasteful watch is all you need. For women, asimple necklace and carefully chosen earrings and you’re set.If you want to wear more, just make sure that all your piecesare working together. In the end, you want to be remembered for your conversation, rather than for what you’re wearing.

3. Make Sure Your Clothes Aren't Out of Date
The upside of following trends—that you look fresh, tunedin, and of the moment—is also its downside. When your clothes are out of date, you are out of date. So if you’regoing to wear up-to-the-minute fashion, stay abreast of the fads. Otherwise stick with more traditional fare. Or invest in some classics along with your “now” pieces so you don’thave to replace your wardrobe every season.

4. Wear a Well-Coordinated Outfit
Make sure your clothes blend well together—and I don’tmean simply avoiding pairing green and yellow stripes with pink and purple polka dots. Make sure your fabrics, colors, and styles all match; that they blend well together and arein the same family of casual or formal. And don’t forget to factor in your accessories: A too casual belt or pair of shoes can throw off an otherwise perfect outfit. The idea is to attract, not distract. If you’re in doubt about your look, ask for help. You’ll get it for free at any decent clothing store.

5. Dress for the Occasion
If you have trouble deciding what to wear, it’s better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed. When in doubt, choose an out fit that you can dress up or down with jewelry,a scarf, or a jacket. That said, the best thing is to determine in advance what clothing would be most appropriate for where you’re going. Call your host or hostess, or, if it’s arestaurant, poke your head in a few evenings before and check out what the patrons are wearing.

6. Make Sure Your Clothes Are Clean
This sounds so obvious, but it’s important. Really check forsubtle stains and spots. Sometimes you don’t realize thatyou put your elbow in the chocolate mousse the last timeyou wore that sweater, or that a drip of coffee fell in the lapof those gray pants, or that your favorite white shirt has finally gotten too gray to wear. Check your shoes as well, making sure they’re clean and polished.

7. Pay Attention to Your Grooming
Make sure your hair is well groomed (and not growing whereit shouldn’t) and your nails are clean and manicured. The last thing you need is a potential date staring at your fingernails while you talk. Pay attention to oral hygiene—there’s no bigger turnoff than getting a waft of secondhand cabbage or cigarette breath. Be clean and sweet smelling, but don’t overdo the perfume or after-shave. And remember, women generally have a better sense of smell than men.

Looking for Your Look
If you think your image or style (or lack of one) could do with a boost, then keep an active eye out for looks that might work for you. Begin by noticing what the people around you are wearing, paying particular attention to those whose style appeals to you. Take a look at catalogs andfashion magazines, do some window shopping, and browse clothing store racks. Start to notice which people on the street catch your eye—how are they dressed?Choose clothes you feel comfortable in, but also that really flatter you and project the image of your best self. Some of us dress to blend in, and while that’s okay, you can also add a little flair that expresses your personality and makes you feel adventurous. Sometimes an interesting accessory can add a little oomph and also be a conversationstarter. For example, my wife wears hand-painted reading glasses and people are always asking her about them.If you don’t have a strong image of yourself and you feel you need help, hire a consultant or go to a good store (you

don’t have to buy anything), try on stuff, and get opinions—lots of them. Many high-end department stores provide in-house personal shoppers gratis. These people are there to help you find the right look. Be sure to brief them well, giv-ing them a sense of what type of person you are. The Wall Street look may make you look dynamic in the mirror, but if you’re a sheep farmer it will eventually back fire because it’snot the real you.
The Total Package
In the world of advertising an “impression” is counted as a single exposure to a product. Advertisers pay fortunes to get their products out into the marketplace in the hope  that their low-fat waffles, turbocharged riding mowers, or irresistible lipstick flavors will garner lots of favorableimpressions. They know that a good first impression means the difference between a consumer giving their product a tryor giving it a pass.Your irresistible first impression, your star power, is not going to be determined by TV commercials, glossy advertisements, or raving testimonials but by your attitude, yourpoise, and your wardrobe. Enhancing and focusing on these important aspects of your image will do more than boostyour chances in the love market, it’ll also boost the way you feel about yourself. When we feel good about ourselves it affects everything. We make better decisions, feel more adventurous, have more energy, and tap into our natural enthusiasm, all of which impacts the nonverbal signals we send out to others. Being on top of our game means other swill want to join in and play.

Collateral Murder

WikiLeaks said that it had "obtained this video as well as supporting documents from a number of military whistleblowers" and verified its authenticity in conversations with "witnesses and journalists directly involved in the incident."

In the 17-minute black-and-white video, U.S. forces can be overheard targeting a group of men who were thought to be armed insurgents, then attacking a van as it attempted to load a wounded individual who had crawled away from the scene. Eldeen and Chmagh, part of the first group, are identified in the video.

WikiLeaks also released a transcript of conversations between the U.S. forces firing on the site. At one point, soldiers can be heard complimenting each other on their "good shoot."

Newly Discovered Incredible Species of Animals

The world is full of infinite genus of animals and one life is not enough to explore them. Every year hundreds and thousands of new species are discovered with several differences on their external and internal attributes. The alteration in fauna and flora is observed because of the atmospheric changes according to which breeds of animals transformed themselves for their survival. The International Institute for Species Exploration at Arizona State University published list of important and new findings that they uncovered during the previous year. We have compiled a list of new animals that are recently discovered in this article.

10. Pinocchio frog

This new found frog is also the smallest wallaby in the world and has Pinocchio like nose which is discovered in a remote mountain “lost world”.  This Pinocchio frog is amongst an array of multiple species that are found in the “lost world” and many of them are like cartoon fantasy characters just like this wallaby frog. The males of this genus have a knob on the nose which points upward during vigorous calls and goes back to its normal position when they get calm down.

9. Purple octopus

The native of the coast of Newfoundland Canada is a purple octopus which is identified during expedition off the coast in which 11 new species of sea were found. The team included Canadian and Spanish scientists which used remote operated vehicle in the voyage of sea far down to 3000 meters deep. According to the researchers this 20 day project was aimed to find out relations between cold water coral and other bottom residence creatures in an alien atmosphere however they found 11 new species in this successful trip.

8. Chromodoris Fentoni

The specie also discovered at the Gulf of Mexico is a shell less snail Chromodoris Fentoni and also known as nudibranch. The specimen was first identified in 2009 by a fisherman who donated it to the commission and wildlife research institute in St. Petersburg which later on verified by the Polytechnic University of California state that the specie has never been documented. However it is featured in the 2011 volume of “American Malacological Bulletin”. This shell less snail has external gills and vibrant colors on skin.

7. Tyrant leech king

The tyrannobdella rex or tyrant leech king is a leech which was discovered in nasal mucous membrane of a little girl who lives in Peru. The new specie is different from other insects of the same class as they have single armed jaw with large teeth and measures 2 inches in length. The physical trait of this leech has similarities with Tyrannosaurus rex which is using its teeth to saw into eyes, vagina, rectums and urethras of mammals.

6. Jumping Cockroach

If you are afraid of cockroaches think what will happen when you come across a cockroach with an ability to jump on you? Scared? But they actually exist and found in silvermine nature reserve of South Africa. This unique breed of cockroaches has long and jumpable legs and their ability to hop resembles with grasshopper that can jump far. The last known cockroaches that can jump are its ancestors of Jurassic era that are extinct now.  A common name given to them is leaproach and they belong to blattellidae family of cockroaches.  These leaproaches have a completely modified body with long jumping legs, semi-circular eyes and antenna is also fixed in a different way to get stabilized during jump.

5. Walter’s Duiker

Erik Verheyen, Gontran Sonet and Zoltán T. Nagy, the members of an international researcher team, discovered this new species of antelope. This new breed is very small in size and has a weight of around four to six kilograms. The name given to this new beast is Walter’s Duiker or Philantomba walteri which belongs to Duiker’s subfamily of antelopes. Its name is honor to Professor Walter Verheyen who collected its sample from a bushmeat market for the first time.  Walter duiker lives in central and west Africa where it is hunted usually for its meat and horns which are used as a food or ritual activities.

4. Raspy Cricket

The distinctive new type of cricket which has a bizarre behavior to surprise you is a raspy cricket. Crickets are mostly known for their destructive behavior towards plants but the new specie has completely opposite attributes, it is not only friendly for plants but it also acts as a pollinator. According to scientists, it is the first time when a cricket lends a helping hand to flowers in pollinating them. The scientist Sylvain Hugel who discovered the unique breed of cricket says that this insect belongs to a subfamily of cricket that is known for producing raspy sound. The new raspy cricket was found pollinating a rare orchid in Mascarene Archipelago, Indian Ocean.

3. Golden Spotted Monster Lizard

Golden spotted monster lizard is a human sized lizard which is discovered in Philippines. Its size is equal to a tall human being and has double penis and prefers to live in Northern Sierra Madre Forest, Luzon Island. The scientific name given to this golden spotted reptile is Varanus Bitatawa and belongs to Varanus genre of monster lizards. It has a length of 6.6 feet or 2 meters and has an average weight of 10 kilograms. It is bright colored specie with stripes of gold flecks. It has a blue-black body with pale green dots and its tail has black and green alternating segments.

2. Darwin’s Dark Spider

Darwin’s dark spiders are the new species of spiders that have the ability to weave largest webs that a single spider can make in the world. It is noticed that they can make up to 82 feet or 25 meters long web which is equivalent to large city buses. These spiders belong to Madagascar where their long-lasting webs span rivers, lakes and streams. The strength of their web silk is twice stronger than the silk of any other spider and ten times than Kevlar. The average toughness of its silk is measured 250 mega joules per cubic meter and 520 mega joules is the highest toughness measured so far which makes it the toughest biological material ever studied.

1. Louisiana Pancake Batfish

This pancake batfish was discovered just before the oil spill of Gulf of Mexico and is distributed only in the entire region of oil spill. It has a flat shape just like a pancake with spikes and hops on its fins and its eyes are huge and bulging. This specie is being the reason of curiosity among scientists for two reasons, one is its region of origination as it lives only in the affected area of gulf oil spill of 2010 which raises questions about its survival. The fish has another weird characteristic as it walks on its thick fins, no wonder awkwardly.

HAUNTED PLACES IN THIS WORLD

Edinburgh Castle - Edinburgh, Scotland
Edinburgh Castle, suspected to be one the most haunted spots in Scotland, is appropriately judged considering Edinburgh has been said to be the most haunted city in all of Europe, and possibly the world. The castle is a historical fortress and parts of it have withstood its 900 year history. A battleground of countless deaths, Edinburgh Castle can easily be thought of as an eternal spot of unrest for fallen soldiers. Other ghosts said to haunt the castle are a phantom piper, a headless drummer, the spirits of French prisoners from the Seven Years War and colonial prisoners from the American Revolutionary War and even a dog that wanders the castle's cemetery. Other areas of Edinburgh also have ghostly reputations: the subterranean vaults of South Bridge and a disused street called Mary Kings Close where victims of the Black Death plague were sealed up to die. What also makes Edinburgh Castle so noteworthy among the paranormal community is that in 2001, Dr. Richard Weisman took a group of 240 volunteers, ignorant of the castle's past, on a walk-through of the castle and its surroundings in order to gather paranormal data. Armed with every ghost busting tool imaginable, almost all the volunteers reported experiences such as drops in temperature, shadowy figures, burning sensations in the limbs, physical touching, and tugging at clothes. One woman was even brave enough to stay the night alone in a South Bridge vault. She reported hearing heaving breathing from the corner of the cell that got louder throughout the night and she saw strange flashes of light. What is most intriguing about the whole experiment is that even though none of the volunteers had any previous knowledge of what rooms had haunted reputations and which ones didn't, they reported the most amount of activity from the reputed locations and saw many of the same things as other tourists.

The Whaley House - San Diego, California, USA
Said to be the most haunted place in the United States, the Whaley House was built in 1857 by Thomas Whaley on land that was partially a cemetery. Nothing gets the ghouls stirring like invading their home. Ghosts that inhabit the home include a young girl who was accidentally hanged on the property, the ghost of the thief Yankee Jim Robinson who was clubbed to death and can be heard on the stairway where he died, and the young red-headed Whaley daughter who is claimed to sometimes appear in such realistic form that visitors think she is a real child. Author deTraci Regula has had her fare share of experiences there as well: "Over the years, while dining across the street at the Old Town Mexican Cafe, I became accustomed to noticing that the shutters of the second-story windows [of the Whaley House] would sometimes open while we ate dinner, long after the house was closed for the day. On a recent visit, I could feel the energy in several spots in the house, particularly in the courtroom, where I also smelled the faint scent of a cigar, supposedly Whaley's calling card. In the hallway, I smelled perfume, initially attributing that to the young woman acting as docent, but some later surreptitious sniffing in her direction as I talked to her about the house revealed her to be scent-free." Furthermore, famed psychic Sybil Leek claimed to have sensed several spirits there, and world renowned ghost hunger Hanz Holzer considers it one of the true haunted spots in the United States.

The Borley Rectory - Borley, England
England is widely known as a land haunted by spirits, and the Borley Rectory claims to be the most haunted place in England. The rectory was built in 1863 next to the Borley Church as a home for Reverend Henry Bull. After its construction it became the site of intense poltergeist activity such as spontaneous displacement of objects, strange odors, cold spots, the sound of galloping horses and ghostly apparitions. The rectory was destroyed by fire in 1939 but photos of the ruins still contained odd images and unexplained elements. Captain W. H. Gregson, one of the last residents there, reported seeing the ghost of a nun wondering the grounds. People even reported seeing Gregson being accompanied by a lady in a gray cloak and a bald man in a long black jacket. Perhaps the most disturbing activity occurred around Marianne, the wife of Reverend Lionel Foster, who took residence in the house in 1930. An entity of some kind tried to communicate with Marianne through scratching messages on walls and the whole episode was captured on camera. Also photographed was a floating brick and a floating ribbon-like apparition. To this day odd images show up in photographs and as recently as 2000 a photo was taken with a mysterious orb floating in the background.

The Bell Farm - Adams, Tennessee, USA
The Bell Farm has been made notorious through books, TV specials and movies. Most recently the events at this small Tennessee farm were dramatized in the 2005 movie An American Haunting. The story behind the Bell Farm haunting is so notable and recognized because it is said to be the only documented account in paranormal history when a ghost caused the death of a living person. Between the years of 1817 and 1821, the Bell Family was terrorized by some sort of entity, mostly said to be a woman, who became known as the Bell Witch or, more personally, "Kate." She is said to have perturbed and tortured John Bell (the father of the family and victim of a nervous system disorder) so much that it lead to his inevitable death. He was unable to sleep or recuperate and the ghost's antics worsened his condition. It is also said that a vile with a strange black liquid was found at John Bell's deathbed and that Kate herself claimed she gave it to him. Supposedly, in order to test the liquids validity, a drop was placed on the family cat's tongue and it immediately killed the animal. Though the haunting of the Bell Farm has been sensationalized many times over, it is still inarguable that something happened there during those three years. A family and a community were terrorized by an entity of some kind, and residents still believe Kate is up to no good.

Raynham Hall - Norfolk, England

Raynham Hall is one of the most famous haunted places in the world due largely in part to its most famous ghost, the Brown Lady, who was captured on film in 1936 in what is said to be one of the most authentic ghost photos every taken. The Unexplained Site describes one of the first encounters with the spirit: "The first known sighting happened during the 1835 Christmas season. Colonel Loftus, who happened to be visiting for the holidays, was walking to his room late one night when he saw a strange figure ahead of him. As he tried to gain a better look, the figure promptly disappeared. The next week, the Colonel again came upon the woman. He described her as a noble woman who wore a brown satin dress. Her face seemed to glow, which highlighted her empty eye sockets." The photo has been examined multiple times by experts who all confirm it is authentic and untouched. The Brown Lady is said to have been confined in a room by her husband, unable to see her children. She soon perished in the room and has continued to haunt Raynham Hall clad in her brown dress.

The Queen Mary - Long Beach, California, USA

This once famous luxury cruise liner was purchased by the city of Long Beach and converted in a hotel in 1967, but many passengers and crew members from its sailing days still haunt the ship. The most haunted room is said to be the engine room where a 17-year-old sailor was crushed trying to escape a fire. It has been numerously reported that he bangs on pipes throughout the room. There have also been reports of a "lady in white" around the front desk of the hotel and the ghosts of children haunting the pool area. Many visitors claims to hear the ghost of a little girl, who reportedly broke her neck while swimming, asking her mommy for her doll. In the pool's changing room, there has been plenty of strange activity. Furniture is said to move by itself and unseen figures touch hotel guests. In the front hull of the ship, there is a ghost that some guest say they can hear screaming. He is said to be a sailor who was killed when the Queen Mary collided with another, smaller ship. Click here to read more and even watch a live ghost cam on the ship.

Changi Beach, Singapore

Changi Beach served as a popular killing ground for the Japanese during the Sook Ching massacre of The Second World War. Thousands of Chinese were tortured and killed during this Operation as they were suspected of being anti-Japanese. Strange crying and screaming are reported by people. The heads of the Chinese dead bodies are sometimes seen flying everywhere and headless bodies walk around the beach. The scariest thing is that the ghosts leave blood stains. During nights people observe dug holes that appear as if they were used for burying bodies.

Ohio University,  Athens, America

Ohio University is known in state folklore as the most haunted college campus. A large number of places on campus are said to be haunted, and numerous other popular tales are told about the university across Athens county. The British Society for Psychical Research claims that Athens, Ohio, is one of the most haunted places in the world. Wilson Hall, famous for a girl (a supposed witch)who killed herself moments after writing satanic and supernatural things on the wall in her own blood. The five cemetaries that form a pentagram that surrounds the campus, with the administrative building being in the center of the devil’s sign. Washington Hall, which is famous for housing a team of basketball players who all died in a terrible crashm their ghosts still haunt the hall, and you can sometimes hear them dribbling. The catacombs of Jefferson Hall, where numerous ghost sightings have occurred. And finally, for The Ridges, an abandoned insane asylum that was known for thousands of labotamies and electro shock treatments. Also, a patient who disappeared, and was found five weeks later, her body decomposed onto the floor and left a stain that outlines her body. This stain can still be seen today.

Screaming Tunnel, Niagara Falls, Ontario

The haunting of the Screaming Tunnel is one of Niagara Falls’ most enduring legends. Located off Warner Road, the tunnel runs under the railway tracks that link Niagara Falls to Toronto and New York City. According to local legend, over a century ago, a farm house located just past the south entrance to the tunnel caught fire one night. A young girl, her clothes engulfed in flames, fled screaming from the house. She ran through the tunnel in an attempt to extinguish her garments but collapsed and died on the tunnel floor. A variation of this story has the girl set ablaze in the tunnel by her enraged father when he learned his wife had won custody of their children during an nasty divorce battle. Another version tells of a young girl who was raped inside the tunnel and her body burned to cover the evidence. All these stories allege that if you stand in the middle of the dark tunnel at midnight and light a match, the flame will go out and a girl’s screams will be heard.

Bhangarh Fort, India

Bhangarh Fort is on way from Jaipur to Alwar in Rajasthan, India. According to a legend, Singhia, a black magic tantrik cursed the palace that everybody would die in the palace and their souls will stay there for centuries without rebirth. Another interesting point is, all the houses in this area are without roofs because whenever a house is built with roof, the roof collapses. This is the called most haunting place in India. People who visit this place experience anxiety and restlessness. It is said that nobody returns from this place that stays there after dark. Government prohibited this area from staying after sunset. You will find a board installed by Archaeological Survey of India displaying “Staying after sunset is strictly prohibited in this area”.

Highgate Cemetery, North London, England

By night, Highgate Cemetery is like something out of a horror movie. Eerie crooked gravestones, headless angles covered in ivy, dark overgrown passages between the tombs, it’s no wonder this is Britain’s number-one ghost spot. Despite it’s chilling atmosphere, by day Highgate Cemetery showcases some of the Britain’s most spectacular Gothic architecture, offers fascinating guided tours. It’s also the burial place of Karl Marx.

Ancient Ram Inn, Gloucestershire, England

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, a trip to the Ancient Ram Inn is an unsettling experience. Its creaky floorboards, cold bare walls, musty smells and dimly lit nooks and crannies epitomise everything a haunted house should be. And the stories attached to this creepy building are not for the fainthearted: Murder, satanism and child sacrifice are just a few of the dark deeds said to have occurred here, oh and did we mention apparently it’s built on a pagan burial ground?

Monte Cristo, New South Wales, Australia

Monte Cristo, Australia’s most haunted mansion is located in Junee, New South Wales. Mrs Crawley, the owner of the house never came out of her home after the death of her husband in 23 years of her remaining life except for two times. After her death her ghost haunts the place particularly her former room. Bodiless ghost, phantom face in the window, floating apparition, strange and ghostly voices, automatic turning on and off lights are some haunting experiences of the people. Some people reported that when they entered the boy’s bed room they were breathless and turned purple and almost died, they became normal after coming out from the room.

Dominican Hill, Baguio City, Philippines.

According to some people the ghosts of people who were killed during the war haunt this place. Some say the patients who died here despite having the hope to be alive turned into ghosts. Hearing the banging of doors, windows, clattering of dishes and screaming voices during night are reported by people.

Berry Pomeroy Castle, Totness

There are a number of legends associated with this 14th-century castle, and it has a reputation of being haunted. It has 2 famous female ghosts; the White Lady and the Blue Lady. According to legend the White Lady is the spirit of Margaret Pomeroy, who starved to death while imprisoned in the dungeons by her jealous sister. Apparently she haunts the dark dungeons, and rises from St Margaret’s Tower to the castle walls. The Blue Lady is not confined to specific areas and is supposed to lure people into parts of the ruin. Apparently it’s a very bad idea to follow her!

The Sledgy Edge: 10 Hilarious sledging incidents in World Cricket

 1.   WG GRACE V/S UMPIRE

English batsman W.G Grace(also known as Godfather of Sledging) was at the crease when the ball slipped by him and knocked off a bail.

Unabashed and unmoved, he told the umpire:

‘Twas the wind which took

thy bail off, good sir.’

Hearing this, the umpire answered, in a language Grace would understand:

‘Indeed, and let us hope thy wind

helps you back to the pavilion.’

2.   ROD MARSH V/S IAN BOTHAM

As Ian Botham came out to bat for England in an Ashes match, Australian Rod Marsh greeted him this way:

‘So, how’s your wife and my kids?’

Quick as a flash, Botham retorted:

‘Wife’s good but the kids are retarded.’

3.  STEVE WAUGH AND IAN HEALY V/S NASSER HUSSAIN

English player Nasser Hussain was fresh at the crease and Australian skipper Steve Waugh wanted to build up pressure on him. He told Ricky Ponting:

 ‘Field at silly point.

I want you right under his nose.’

Sledge master Ian Healy quipped:

 ‘That could be anywhere

inside a three mile radius!’

Laughing, Nasser was out three balls later.

4.  RAVI SHASTRI  V/S MIKE WHITNEY

Australian twelfth man Mike Whitney replaced an injured teammate in a test match against India. Ravi Shastri hit the ball in Whitney’s direction and tried to grab a quick single but Whitney prevented the run. Right after, he said to Shastri:

 ‘If you leave the crease

I’ll break your f**king head.’

To which he got the following reply:

‘If you could play as well

as you talk you wouldn’t be the f**king twelfth man.’

5.  MERV HUGHES V/S ROBIN SMITH

The notorious Merv Hughes was bowling to English batsman Robin Smith during a test at Lords in 1989. Smith was having a dry patch with more misses than hits. Hughes couldn’t resist saying:

 ‘You can’t f**king bat.’

Smith responded, both with bat and banter. He smashed the ball to the boundary, and added:

‘Merv, we make a fine pair.

I can’t f**king bat and

you can’t f**king bowl.’

6.  STEVE WAUGH V/S HERSCHELLE GIBBS

Host South Africa was facing Australia in a Super Six match in 1999. Steve Waugh, batting at 56 runs, seemed confident of winning. He hit a delivery straight to fielder Herschelle Gibbs who fumbled with the ball and made a vain attempt to throw it in the air. It was an upsetting spectacle. Taking advantage of his opposition’s ‘fall’, Waugh commented:

‘How does it feel to have

dropped the World Cup?’

Australia won the match and the World Cup too

7.  The crowd v/s Inzamam ul-Haq

Indo-Pak relations, both on and off the field, have always been volatile. Once when the two teams were playing an exhibition match in Canada in 1997, an Indian from the stands called out to Inzamam-ul-Haq in Hindi, saying:

‘Mota Aaloo (Fat Potato)’

This provoked Inzy to the verge of madness. He refused to resume the game and spent a good ten minutes quarreling with the spectator. Ironically, that very name is still stuck to him till date!

8.  Bill Woodfull v/s Douglas Jardine

Once England’s captain Douglas Jardine claimed that he had been called a ‘bastard’ by one of the Australian players. Australian skipper Bill Woodfull, perhaps feigning sincerity, turned to his team members saying:

‘Which one of you bastards
called this bastard a bastard?’

9. Dennis Lillee v/s Multiple batsmen
The great Dennis Lillee had a signature sledge that he used to unnerve a variety of batsmen:

 ‘I know why you’re batting
so badly. You’ve got some shit
on the end of your bat.’

As a natural response, the batsman would begin examining the end of his bat, at which moment Lillee would add his punch:

 ‘Wrong end, mate.’

10.  Sachin Tendulkar v/s Abdul Qadir

In 1989, Sachin Tendulkar was a short, ambitious teenager making his debut amidst men twice his age. Playing in Pakistan, he was mocked and jeered at by crowds flashing placards saying ‘Hey kid, go home and drink milk.’

Sachin hit two sixes in Mushtaq Ahmed’s over, to the obvious chagrin of the Pakistani team. This incited Ahmed’s mentor Abdul Qadir who decided to bowl the next over and protected his young teammate saying:

‘Why are you hitting kids? Try and hit me.’

Sachin, being the calm player that he is, remained silent. He let his bat do the talking, as the next over read: 6, 0, 4, 6, 6, 6.

The Amazon River (Portuguese: Rio Amazonas; Spanish: Río Amazonas) of South America is the largest river in the world with a total river flow greater than the next ten largest rivers combined. The Amazon, which has the largest drainage basin in the world, accounts for approximately one-fifth of the world’s total river flow. In its upper stretches the Amazon river is called Apurímac (in Peru) and Solimões (in Brazil).
During the wet season, parts of the Amazon exceed 190 kilometres (120 mi) in width. Because of its vast dimensions, it is sometimes called The River Sea. At no point is the Amazon crossed by bridges. This is not because of its huge dimensions; in fact, for most of its length, the Amazon’s width is well within the capability of modern engineers to bridge. However, the bulk of the river flows through tropical rainforest, where there are few roads and even fewer cities, so there is no need for crossings.
While the Amazon is the largest river in the world by most measures, the current consensus within the geographic community holds that the Amazon is the second longest river, just slightly shorter than the Nile.
